Edition of 238 copies, this one (n°II), one of XII on BFK de Rives pur chiffon (the only paper) reserved for the artist. Very original and stimulating illustration by BOILEAU. With VILLON (François): OEuvres. Original illustrations by Roland IROLLA. Published for Bibliophiles by Librairie Anavoizard, Montceau-les-Mines [1976]. One volume 28.5 by 38.5 cm. In sheets with folded cover, limited edition of 180 copies on arches ragpaper, the only paper. Artist's copy signed on the title page. Enclosed is a booklet in the same format with a presentation of the work, and four poems and illustrations from the complete book.

Group of ten Republic Period Chinese seals and a seal book of Fei Gongxing (Chinese, late 19th/20th century). The seal book is dated winter of 1933. A number of seals match the prints in the book. These seals were carved by the artist for his own use. The calligraphy and paintings within the book are colophons. The first inscription is signed Weiyan. (Seals) height ranges from 1/4 in to 1 7/8 in; width ranges from 3/8 in to 1 1/4 in; depth ranges from 3/8 in to 1 1/4 in. (Book) height: 7 1/2 in x width: 4 1/4 in x depth: 5/8 in.
