In vol. 1, portrait of the Author on antiport within oval by Daullé, pretty vignettes on title pages drawn by De Seve and inc. (v.1.;3.) by Chevillet, a total of 12 full-page plates placed at the beginning of each work, 13 ornate headpieces, and 60 culs-de-lampe superbly engraved by Aliamet, Baquoy, Chevillet, Flipart, Legrand, Lemire, Lempereur, Sornique et Tardieu from drawings by Jacques de Seve, some reddening and light browning, sporadic flourishes, coeval full leather binding, marbled guard papers, marbled blue boards, plates framed by gold frame, 5-nerved gold titles on spine with friezes, a few small lacks, slight defects. Paper ex libris to the counterplate of Count Sanminiatelli.
