LARGE CARREAU DE REVÊTEMENT BLEU ET BLANC D'IZNIK

TURKEY, OTTOMAN ART, CIRCA 1650 Siliceous ceramic with blue and turquoise painted decoration on a white ground, under a transparent lead glaze. The decoration is organized in a radiating network around a central flower. in an antique wooden frame. Wear, cracks, good overall condition. Dimensions (as seen) : 24 x 24 cm. Private collection, acquired at public auction in France. Tiles from the same group are in the Musée du Louvre (OA 4047/64; 38).
