LÓPEZ PORTAÑA, VICENTE (1772 - 1850)

Oil on canvas. With a beautiful cornucopia frame of carved and gilded wood. Included in the artist's catalog by Don Jose Luis Díez García. Work known exclusively from a photograph of the Civil War Recovery Service (1939). Reproduced on plate 8, description P-67. He estimates that this work was made around 1814 since it bears similarities to other similar models executed on the same dates such as; the drawing preserved in the Peralada Castle Museum, the drawing from the National Library (no. 3,878) or the Inmaculada from the Lázaro Galdiano Museum (no. 6,881) made around 1813. 46x33cm
