Monumental work of what was the bible of King Saint Louis of France and later of Alfonso Given the richness of his miniatures, the pages are only decorated on one side, as they would not withstand the load of paint on both sides. The entire Bible is presented as a totum continuum, headed by a large miniature page (God Architect of the Universe) and a final closing miniature, also full page (Queen Blanca and her son Luis at the top and the artisans of the codex in the lower one), which indicates that the book has been conceived as a large unit.
