"GENEALOGY OF THE KINGS OF SPAIN" - The original of which is preserved in the National Library. V.: Scriptorium limited editions, 1995. Folio, full leather dry embossed in the Mozarabic style, with applications, superlibris and metal closures. Content in case ed. (grazed) next to the vol. of studies. Numbered notarial act with a limited edition of 600. Also known by the name Anacephaleosis, it is the work of Alfonso de Cartagena, formerly called Alfonso García de Santa María, a member of the most important family of Jewish converts in Castile. He was born in Villasandino (Burgos) around 1385, shortly before his father embraced Christianity under the name of Pablo de Santa María and died in 1456. Father and son were always very close to the Trastámara branch of Castile, which rewarded them successively making them bishops of Burgos.
