ISABEL ESTEVA ORTIGA (Barcelona, 1958) "Bathtub", 1983. Oil on canvas. Signed in the lower right corner. Measurements: 110 x 205 cm; 115 x 210 cm (frame). Painter and photographer who finds the essence in the representation of nature and its states, as well as in the Mediterranean culture. Rhythms, shadows, colors and lights that wrap images that under an apparent austerity evoke us to the origins of our existence. His production dispenses with any superfluous element to ennoble the expressiveness of lines and colors in an approach to primitivism and simplicity.

FREDERIC AMAT NOGUERA (Barcelona, 1952). Untitled, 2002. Mixed media (collage, oil) on wood. Signed and dated in the lower right corner. Measurements: 70 x 100 cm; 83 x 114 cm (frame). Painter, engraver and scenographer, Amat develops a work ascribed to the experimental and conceptual tendencies of the seventies. His themes revolve around death, violence, sex and architectures, real or imaginary. Trained in Barcelona, between 1975 and 1982 he traveled through North Africa, Mexico and the United States. He has exhibited in France, Germany, Italy and the United States, and between 1993 and 1994 he was the subject of a major retrospective at the Museo Rufino Tamayo in Mexico, the Fundación Joan Miró and the Instituto de América in Granada. Amat is represented at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona.
