OPERA - PUCCINI Giacomo (1858 - 1924) - Autograph letter signed Autograph letter signed, stamp dated 15.8.1921, by one the greatest Italian composers. Addressed to his friend Maria Bianca Ginori Lisci whom he considered a refined connoisseur of music, often asking for her advice and procuring her tickets for performances. Written during his stay in Munich. "Saluti aff.si da Monaco, fresco anche troppo, e costì? La ringrazio per la stanza alla Guardia...". On a traveled postcard with a color illustration on the back, depicting a view of Munich and an autograph note: "Hotel Regina Palast”.

Helmut Lander, bronze head 2nd half 20th century, monogrammed La, model number 157, polished bronze, abstract depiction of a male head divided in the centre in a jagged shape, in good condition for its age, h 8 cm. Artist information: German sculptor, painter and draughtsman (1924 Weimar to 2013 Darmstadt), after emergency school-leaving examination from 1942 military service and subsequent American captivity, here already artistically active, 1946-50 studied at the Weimar Academy of Architecture and Fine Arts under Hermann Kirchberger, Otto Herbig and Albert Schaefer-Ast, then trainee at the Sauermild tapestry manufactory, 1951 moved to Darmstadt, from 1952 studied architectural ceramics at the Werkkunstschule Darmstadt, subsequently worked as a freelancer, 1959 designed concrete glass windows, portal and paraments for the Christuskirche in Bochum, 1960 moved to the house designed by Karl-Heinz Schelling on the Mathildenhöhe, from 1971 taught at the Technical University of Darmstadt, member of the Darmstadt Secession until 1989, 2013 awarded the Hessian Order of Merit on Ribbon, source: Wikipedia and the artist's website.
