Artist information: Austrian animal painter, illustrator and graphic artist (1890 Moravian Kromau [Moravský Krumlov] to 1955 Vienna), childhood in Miroslav [German: Misslitz], grammar school attendance in Brno [Brünn], artistically educated in Munich and Vienna, studied at the Vienna Lyceum around 1910, undertook numerous study trips, e.g. to the Carpathians, the visits to the Carpathian Mountains and the Vienna University of Fine Arts. to the Carpathians, the Beskids, the Bohemian Forest, Switzerland and Italy, created numerous illustrated articles for German and Austrian hunting magazines, member of the association of Penzing and Hietzing artists "Lukas-Gilde", received various honours such as the Great Silver Medal at the International Hunting Exhibition in Berlin in 1937, worked in Vienna with stays in Feldkirch/Vorarlberg and Reichenau an der Maltsch, source: Vollmer, Saur "Bio-Bibliographisches Künstlerlexikon", Fuchs, Österreichisches Künstlerlexikon and Wien-Geschichte-Wiki.
