A large cylindrical pewter vessel with engraved family coat of arms, South German, dat. 1686, probably a vessel for storing ointments in a pharmacy, pewter body on ball feet with eagle claws, the wall engraved with a family crest, depicting a cat crushing medicines with a pestle in a mortar, crowned with a mermaid with two fish tails, monogrammed AH, below dat. 1686, framed with a floral wreath, with hinged profiled lid, openwork decorated thumb rest, lid with round ball handle, three pewter stamps on thumb rest, one pewter stamp on lid, h: 62 cm, d: 31 cm, weight: 14 kg, museum piece, 4377 - 0027
