Writing box / writing desk with drawer, probably France, mid-19th century, rectangular walnut veneered box, the lid worked diagonally as a writing tablet, inlaid leather surface with gold-embossed Renaissance motif, inside paper compartment with lock (key missing), rear part of the top plate can be opened separately, underneath a pen tray and 2 porcelain inkwells in a holder (one holder broken and glued), lower part of the box with drawer, divided into 3 compartments, with lock (key missing), 52 x 36 cm, H 20 cm, wood partially stained, veneer partially somewhat warped and with missing parts, partly restored, stronger traces of age. 4469-005a
