Gabriel VIARDOT (1830-1906) Pair of molded and carved stained-wood chairs with openwork sinister geometric motifs. The upper crosspieces of the backrests feature perched dragons. Curved front legs ending in claws. Polychrome embossed leather seats and backs decorated with court scenes. A chair stamped "G.Viardot" on one leg. Stamped under the seats "Krieger, Paris, Faubourg St. Antoine". 94 x 42 x 42 cm Small chips on the legs, wear to the leather and chips. Presence of pieces of leather on the model.
