Sauer, Karlheinz — Kleine Design-Vase — (Pforzheim 1943 geb.) Entwurf und Herstellung Karlheinz Sauer, Västerås, 1977. Über konischem Stand zylindrische Kuppa mit ausschwingendem Rand; feiner Hammerschlagdekor. Silber. Unterseitig mit Staatsstempel, Feingehalt "925", Namenszug des Künstlers. H. 13 cm; 170 g. - Zwischen 1958 und 1961 besuchte Sauer die Goldschmiedeschule in Pforzheim. 1962-1965 besuchte er die Kunst- und Werkschule (Kunstabteilung) in Pforzheim und zog im folgenden Jahr nach Schweden, zunächst nach Växjö und bald nach Östersund. 1968 zog er nach Kyrkbacken in Västerås, wo er sein eigenes Unternehmen mit einer Schmiede und einer Galerie gründete. Er das Geschäft 40 Jahre lang in Västerås geführt. Im Jahr 2011 zog er nach Mörbylånga auf Öland, wo er immer noch lebt und arbeitet, in „Blå Kulan, Galerie und Silberschmiede".
