Islamic "magic bowl", medical bowl, probably Ottoman Empire around 1800, deep bowl of (probably) brass with conical omphalos and without stand ring, inside and outside fully engraved with black highlighted Arabic script, partly amulet-worthy in medallions and narrow bands of script, partly pious Islamic formulas and quotations from the Koran in good calligraphy, d 20 cm, h 4.5 cm, good condition, small pressure marks, stand heavily rubbed.
