[Bound in the coat of arms.] [Coutume. Lorris. 1758]. COUTUMES of Lorris-Montargis, Saint-Fargeau, Puisaye country, Chatillon-sur-Loing, Sancerre, Gien, Nemours, Chateau-Landon & other places... A Montargis, de l'Imp. de Jean Bodin, 1758. 2 vols. in-12, [2] f., 415 p. [2] f., 428 p., contemporary garnet morocco, 5-ribbed spine, renewed fawn title-pieces, stamped tomaison, ornate coffers with gilt fleurons bordered by a double gilt fillet, central gilt coat of arms on the boards, framed by a double gilt fillet, gilt roulette on the necks, headpieces and chasses, gilt edges (ink stains on the boards, rubbed corners, snagged headpiece, 1 cm. split lower jaw, rare foxing in margins). Coutumes commentées par M. Lhoste, avec les notes de Du Moulin ; nouvelle édition revue et augmentée des observations de Le Page, et de la Conférences des coutumes de Paris, Orléans, Troyes et Auxerre par M. Durand. Provenance: arms composed of a chevron accompanied in chief by two stars and in point by a crescent; Desaulnes (old signature on title).
