Small bump on spine, covers very slightly dusty, otherwise perfect condition. First edition. This book on the wines of Beaujolais and Lyonnais, written by the director of agricultural services for the Rhône, is hard to find in its original edition.

Half burgundy small-grained morocco with corners, 5 raised bands, decorated with the Lyon coat of arms, roulette on the raised bands. Slight wear of the paper on the edges, otherwise very good condition of the binding. Very good condition inside. Illustrated with 2,253 drawings, maps and plans, it remains one of the best histories of Lyon. Also included: STEYERT (André): Nouvelle histoire de Lyon et des provinces de lyonnais - forez - beaujolais, franc-lyonnais et Dombes. Tome Quatrième. Lyon, Pélardy, 1939. Paperback, uncut, as new. This 4th volume, which continues STEYERT's work up to 1899, is invaluable for its general alphabetical table.
