Anonymous (19th century)(19th century) Farmstead with Staffage in front of the High Tatras, oil on wood, around 1860. Depiction of a farmhouse on the riverbank in the foreground. A child playing on the bank, an angler and a woman carrying a washing basket. On the right, a hiker strides into the distance. The backdrops of various fortresses can be seen in the background on the right. Behind them, the viewer's gaze falls on a glowing white mountain range, which resembles the High Tatras. Partly applied wet-on-wet; oil on bentwood panel. Illegibly labelled "Hollenweger" (?) on the reverse. Remains of sealing wax preserved on the reverse. Plate 23 x 28 cm. Ornate frame 33.5 x 47.5 cm.
