– [1] p.; 13.5x21.5 cm. The note includes a quote from M. Zoshchenko's short story 'Lyubov'' ["Love"]. Signed by the author at the end. The story was first published in 1922 in the journal "Literary Week" (No. 9). Yakov Petrovich Grebenshchikov (1887-1935) was a librarian and bibliophile. Known as an expert in books, Grebenshchikov was well-known in the intellectual circles of St. Petersburg and was nicknamed "The Reader of Vasileostrovsky". He was friends with S.M. Alyansky, E.I. Zamyatin, A.M. Remizov, K.I. Chukovsky, and V.Ya. Shishkov. They frequently used his home library, which contained an extensive collection of books on library science, theology, art, and fiction. Other readers of this unique library included A.A. Akhmatova, P.F. Lesgaft, B.A. Pilnyak, A.N. Rimsky-Korsakov, V.A. Rozhdestvensky, V.V. Struve, D.V. Filosofov, and others. Remizov honored Grebenshchikov with the title "Prince of Monkeys" in the invented "Great Free Chamber of Monkeys".
