Signature on the second flyleaf: 'Obshestvu vrachey' ["To the Society of Physicians."] The first separate edition of the Russian naturalist, founder of the domestic physiological school, and pioneer of the natural-scientific direction in psychology, Ivan Sechenov (1829-1905). This work was first published in 1863 in the "Meditsinskiy vestnik" [Medical Herald].
