In six composite bindings from the era: leather spines with bands and corners, "faded" gold embossing on the spines, covers lined with "peacock feather" paper, patterned flyleaf, silk binding. In good condition. Minor wear to the bindings, slight cracks, tears, and losses of small leather fragments along the spines. Bookplate with an image of Cupid holding a board with the inscription "Adoremus" and the inscription: "Ex libris P. Joukovsky" on the flyleaf. The second posthumous edition of the works of F.M. Dostoevsky, carried out by the efforts of the writer's widow, Anna Grigorievna Dostoevskaya (née Snitkina; 1846-1918). Provenance: Zhukovsky, Pavel Vasilyevich (1840-1912) - Russian painter and stage designer, son of poet V.A. Zhukovsky; representative of symbolism, author of historical paintings and portraits. He initiated the creation of the Belev Local Lore Museum and was a founding member involved in the establishment of the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg. He also participated in the development of the project for the building of the Museum of Fine Arts (now the Pushkin Museum) in Moscow.
