Siesta chair and ottoman, design Ingmar Relling, manufacturer Westnofa Norway. Height 80cm, width 60cm, depth: 60cm seat height: 40cm, leather cushions. In age-appropriate condition (see photos). *The Siesta chair with ottoman was designed in 1965 by the Norwegian architect and designer Ingmar Relling (1920-2002) and was awarded a design prize in 1966. The company that produced it, Westnofa, no longer exists. Ingmar Relling designed a range of functional furniture over the course of his long career. Today, he is recognised as one of the greatest creators of Scandinavian design. Ingmar Relling opened his own office in 1950, and in 1965 he designed his greatest creation: the Siesta chair. The Siesta is a simple, harmonious and classic chair without unnecessary details and became a door opener that opened up international markets for Norwegian furniture production. It can either be picked up directly by you in Switzerland (only with prior arrangement) or must be officially exported via customs (costs respectively customs handling fee and export tax) approximately 50 EUR per object).
