Panton Chair, cantilever chair, plastic, white 1991. Width 47cm, depth 58cm, height 83cm, seat height 41cm, marked and dated 1991 on the underside. During his studies, Verner Panton developed chairs without back legs. In 1955, he created an S-shaped chair made of continuously moulded plywood with a curved contour. Panton's aim, however, was to produce a chair made of plastic, as he was enthusiastic about the properties and possibilities of this material. Please note: This object is located in our Swiss branch (Hauptstrasse 100, CH-8280 Kreuzlingen). It can either be picked up directly by you in Switzerland (only with prior arrangement) or must be officially exported via customs (costs respectively customs handling fee and export tax) approximately 50 EUR per object).
