Condition report: Framed Belgian artist Paul Delvaux studied drawing with Jean Delville and decorative painting with Constant Montald. Initially post-impressionist, then expressionist, Delvaux moved closer to the Surrealists in the 1930s - without joining the movement - and even took part in their Paris exhibition in 1938.
