Imari floor vase, Japan, Meji period. Brass-framed foot, painted all round in polychrome in cobalt blue, red, gold and green. The body with wild rose motifs. The rim formerly painted in gold, which has been rubbed off, but no cracks or traces of restoration, apart from the foot. Two medallions filled with depictions of temples, cranes and prunus blossoms. 64.6 x 34 x 34 cm.
