Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres Rare bisque bust of the writer Honoré d'Urfé, author of L'Astrée, in period costume and resting on a stack of his works, 1909 Engraved: Sèvres, S1909, mark of the molder-repairer MF for Maurice-Henri Ferry (1907-15). Height: 33 cm Small chips. This bust is the work of French sculptor and writer Paul Fournier (1859-1925), whose original bronze monument was cast under the Vichy regime. Only three copies of this bust were produced by the factory.
