Oil on canvas painting attributed to Louis Emile Adan (1839-1937) depicting a landscape with a young woman. Unsigned. Housed in a gilded wooden frame. Has a number "8" of the author's repetition on the verso. In 1882, Adan was awarded a second-class medal at the Paris Salon for his painting "Autumn Evening", very similar in theme and composition to the one presented in this lot. Dimensions: 12 3/4 x 18 IN., (32.5 x 46 CM.) Canvas appears to be original, not restored. Two small holes at the top left corner and toward the top right part of the canvas. Original stretcher.
