Alexandre Yakovlev (1887-1938), an ink and charcoal on paper drawing depicting a sitting African woman. Inscribed lower left. Matted, housed in a wooden frame. Has additional inscriptions on the verso. Alexandre Evgenevich Yakovlev was a Russian and French painter and graphic artist. He is mainly known for the works he produced during his expeditions to Mongolia, China, Japan, the Sahara desert and Equatorial Africa. Dimensions: 14 1/2 x 10 1/2 in., (37 x 27 cm.) There is a hole that has been restored on the right part of the female's body. Clearly depicted in the images provided.
