[Hergé, Gaston-Louis Marchal] Pierre Nothomb, le pont de Waelhem. Louvain, Rex, 1931. In-12. Uncommon first edition with cover by Hergé. Large paper copy (vergé d'Arches a priori), no justification. Enriched with linocuts by G-L Marchal, dated Castres 1997. This is a single linocut depicting a bridge repeated on all or most of the work's white pages. Marchal was Zadkine's executor. A copy entirely uncropped for the illustration, with only the first cover preserved. An astonishing copy.

All five volumes are lavishly illustrated with original margin or interleaved drawings by Marchal, Zadkine's executor. The Mauriac volume even includes two photos taken in Castres. Three volumes have been unclipped to include the drawings. Stunning copies.
