"Giant Snifters Club" collection with autographs Even Moser Karlsbad glasses and autographs by Louis Armstrong and Jewel Brown, 2nd half of the 20th century, consisting of five spirit glasses and six giant glasses, designed by František Chocholatý in 1958, traditionally made for the Giant Glass Club of the Moser glassworks founded in 1960, from the so-called Physiognomic Bar Set, with the names "Long Gentleman", "Slender Lady", "Small Fat Man", "Long Face", "Fat Berta" and "Moon Face", which represent different types of people and were chosen and waved by Moser Club members at the ritual entrance according to their personality, including numerous personalities such as actress Sophia Loren, actor Robert Redford, trumpeter Louis Armstrong, tenor Peter Dvorský, singer Gabriela Beňačková, Spanish King Juan Carlos I. etc., Giant glasses marked and partly with original label and inscription First Quality, all colourless glass, mouth-blown, very good condition, h max. 46 cm, d max. 23 cm, with three handwritten autographs by Louis Armstrong, one on large format photo mounted on card, dimensions 39 x 39 cm; photo print, dimensions 10 x 15 cm; and 16-page programme booklet "Armstrong and his all Stars", dimensions 15 x 21 cm; and four autographs by jazz and blues singer Jewel Brown, who toured with Armstrong, one on large format photo mounted on card with handwritten dedication, dimensions 39 x 39 cm; three concert photos, dimensions max. 18 x 24 cm; as well as a book about Armstrong "What a Wonderful World" by Stephan Schulz, 255 p.; also two photos of the book author with Armstrong, dimensions max. 10 x 10 cm, all photos with studio or copyright stamp of the Berlin star photographer Tassilo Leher on the reverse, some with conservation defects. Louis Armstrong Twice-Signed Photograph Exceptional vintage pearl-finish 8 x 10 double-weight photo by Theatrical of Chicago, showing Armstrong admiring his trumpet in a three-quarter-length pose, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "My best wishes to Dan & Mary, from, Louis Armstrong, 9/14/31,” and then signed again twenty-seven years later in bold green ink, "Louis Armstrong, 1958." In very good to fine condition, with a brush to the green ink, some streaked irregularity to the emulsion, and light silvering to darker areas of the image.

Louis Armstrong Signature Vintage ballpoint signature, "Satchmo, Louis Armstrong,” on an off-white 5.5 x 3.5 card from the Macumba Club, San Francisco, annotated in another hand with the date of "9-18-56" on the reverse. In fine condition, with a small stain to the top edge.
