Provenance: Amateur collection Note: Featuring dual time zones, the Sky-Dweller is considered the aerial version of the Sea-Dweller. Launched in 2012, this model marks the appearance of a new complication in the Rolex universe: the annual calendar. Our model is a first-generation model, identifiable by its dial and its 12 apertures, symbolizing the 12 months of the year, arranged between the hour-markers and the minute track. The current month is indicated by the aperture appearing in black, a subtle display due to a particularly elaborate mechanism. Called Saros, a term borrowed from astronomy, this calendar is exceptionally easy to use, requiring only one correction per year (from February to March). Its Ring Command rotating bezel is particularly intuitive, an innovation developed by Rolex to make this complication accessible to all brand enthusiasts. The model on offer is equipped with caliber 9001, a COSC-certified movement with a 72-hour power reserve and 11 patents. Expert: Geoffroy ADER assisted by Justine LAMARRE
