Agustín Fernández (Havana, April 16, 1928 – New York, June 2, 2006) - Contemporary Latin American Cuban School of the 20th century Monumental Composition in polychrome stoneware tiles and signed and dated 1956, measures 117 x 77 cm. Fernández's work is found in permanent collections such as: Art Museum of the Americas, Brooklyn Museum, El Museo del Barrio, JP Morgan Chase Collection, Yale University Art Gallery, Blanton Museum of Art at the University of Texas, Utah Museum of Fine Arts, Library of Congress, New Mexico Museum of Art, MoMA, United States; Cabinet des Estampes, France; La Tertulia Museum, Colombia; Circle of Fine Arts of Maracaibo, Venezuela; Ponce Museum of Art, Puerto Rico; National Museum of Fine Arts, Cuba; Victoria and Albert Museum, United Kingdom, among others. Two paintings by Fernández have appeared in cinema: Développement d'un délire appeared in Brian De Palma's film Dressed to Kill (1980), and another in the film Father of the Bride (2022), starring the Cuban actor- American Andy Garcia.
