Francesco SOLIMENA (1657-1747) or Carlo CIGNANI (1628-1719), attributed to The mystical marriage of St. Catherine Very large painting, oil on canvas, around 1700 95 x 76.5 cm According to the consignor, the painting was attributed to Francesco Solimena by Sir Christopher Loyd and Mina Gregori, then in the 1990s by Dr. August Rave, Staatsgalerie Stuttgart, to the painter Carlo Cignani. Unfortunately, the relevant reports can no longer be found.
