Ramón Stolz Viciano (Valencia 1903 - 1958) - "The Annunciation of Mary" - 20th century Spanish school Watercolor and ink on paper: 42 x 40 cm. Measurements with frame: 67 x 62 cm. His paternal grandfather, a German scientist, married and settled in Castellón; His son, Stolz Seguí, companion of Sorolla and Benlliure, friend and admirer of the guitarist Francisco Tárrega and father of the painter, married Teresa Viciano Martí, sister of the sculptor José Viciano Martí, and the couple settled in Valencia where Stolz Viciano would be born, who thus signed to distinguish himself from his father Stolz Seguí. He began his academic studies at the School of Fine Arts of Valencia. After the death of his father in 1924, he moved to Madrid to enter the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando, as a disciple of Manuel Benedito and Anselmo Miguel Nieto.
