Rare Queen Mary of Scotland figure in Bronze on a German base from the 17th century In bronze, with two gunshot wounds, possibly forming part of the finishing of the grille of a Catholic altar, possibly received during an English raid in the context of the Rough Wooing Wars (known in Spanish as the war of the hard courtship, courtship brutal​ or English courtship​) refers to the two periods of conflict, 1543-46 and 1547-50, between the kingdoms of England and Scotland during the process of Scottish independence. Measurements 33 x 13 x 10 cm. Provenance: formerly part of an important European private collection.
