Mosaic binding by J. van West, ochre morocco, spine ribbed, cover preserved, slipcase with compartments. One of 42 copies on Japon, this one n°34 with : - a suite of illustrations on Chine - an autograph letter signed by Chapront, dated "Paris 24 août" and most probably addressed to M. Marteau - all original drawings and cover designs. Provenance: > Paul Marteau (ex libris, signed by Chapront) > Collection of Monsieur A., Nice Paul Marteau was a master cartier and illustrator.
