Colored poster measuring 37 x 28 cm. Text in blue and white. Good condition. Marshal Pétain shakes hands with a worker against the background of a factory with smoking chimneys. At the bottom is Marshal Philippe Pétain's phrase: 'Je tiens les promesses même celles des autres' (I keep my promises, even those of others).Henri-Philippe-Omer Pétain was a French general and politician. A renowned general during the First World War, Marshal of France, he headed the collaborationist Vichy government from 1940 to 1944, following the second armistice of Compiègne.
