Montblanc x Thomas Mann
Montblanc special Edition Écrivains 2009 pays tribute to Tomas Mann, who is inspired by Art Deco, the period in which he wrote his extraordinary works. The interplay of multi-layered inlays in black lacquer and geometric lines in platinum plating symbolize the complex relationships between the characters in his masterpiece. "The Buddenbrooks", for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1929. The rhodium-plated 18 K gold nib features a filigree engraving of the Buddenbrook house, recalling Thomas Mann's birthplace in Lubeck. The set is accompanied by the ballpoint pen. Fountain pen numbered 1520/12000 and ballpoint pen numbered 1520/15000.
