A collection of historical rulers England, 19th/20th century, eight pieces, boxwood engraved with brass mounts, including a set in a case, consisting of six rulers with different scales, this one marked Lucking & Co. 37 Bond Street Leeds, and owner's name G. N. Beaumont, two further folding models, one marked Trademark Hockley Abbey warranted boxwood Rabone, Made in England and serial no. 2548, with telescopic telescope, marked H. Hughes & Son 59 Fenchurch St. London, partly leather-covered brass case, function not tested, various signs of age and use, l case 34 cm.

Scriber's tool in a case probably early 19th century, high rectangular case, covered in dark ray skin, the interior with numerous utensils, including ruler, protractor, compasses etc., complete, well-kept condition with slight signs of age, h 13 cm.

Rare calculating machine or "arithmograph" by Léon BOLLÉE (1870-1913), maker's plate (31 x 29 cm) (oxidation) Léon Bollée, born in Le Mans in 1870, invented this direct multiplication calculating machine at the age of 19, and won first prize at the 1889 Exposition Universelle. Following in his father's footsteps, and with his brother Camille, he produced automobiles under the brand name "Léon Bollée Automobiles", which disappeared in 1931.
