Daniel SAINT (St Lô, 1778 - St Lô, 1847). Three-quarter-length man, left, with wispy hair, in blue suit, salmon vest, black tie, circa 1820 Important miniature on ivory signed on the left in red: Saint A vue ovale 11 x 9 cm Posterior molded brass and gilt frame with bélière, second half of the 19th century, rect. 20 x 17.5 cm Gross weight: 0.294 Kg. A pupil of J-B-J Augustin and Regnault, Daniel Saint was one of the great miniaturists of his time, and trained many pupils in his workshop. His miniatures can be found in all the major collections. A CIC will be issued, not allowing export outside the European Union. It will be the responsibility of the buyer wishing to export this item outside the E.E.C. to take the necessary steps. Expert: N.
