A complete copy of the 812 costume plates "beautifully engraved by Duclos, Giffart, de Poilly and Thomassin" (Colas). This 1792 edition includes a few rare copies - such as this one - whose plates were colored at the time: "only copies whose figures are colored are of any value" (Brunet). Pl. 29 of vol. 7 duplicated, pl. 99 of vol. 8 misplaced on p. 432 in vol. 7.
