A LOT WITH THREE GILT-LACQUER WOOD FIGURES OF BUDDHA, 17TH - 18TH CENTURY A LOT WITH THREE GILT-LACQUER WOOD FIGURES OF BUDDHA, 17TH - 18TH CENTURY Thailand, late 17 th-18 th century. Each carved seated on a red-lacquered pedestal in dhyanasana, one hand in bhumisparsha mudra and the other resting in the lap. The figures wear close-fitting sanghati, and their faces are serene, with a tall siraspata atop their heads. The pedestal of one figure is inscribed with a four-line inscription in Thai. Provenance: Austrian private collection. Condition: Extensive wear, signs of weathering and erosion, age cracks, and some losses. Weight: 1,089 g Dimensions: Height 28.6 cm
