PORTRAIT OF AN ELEGANT YOUNG WOMAN Mixed media with charcoal, colored pencil and chalk on paper. Visible dimensions: 54 x 37 cm. Signed "f Lenbach" lower left. Framed behind glass in passepartout. The half-length portrait to the right of the woman with a pearl necklace around her neck, short hairstyle, red lips and shining light brown eyes, gazing intently out of the picture. She has carefully crossed her slender, delicate hands in front of her. Not open. ennobled in 1882, in his time one of the most famous and sought-after portraitists in Europe, from whom important personalities such as Bismarck, the German emperors, but also the Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph and Pope Leo XIII had their portraits painted.(1400661) (18)
