TWO FISHING BOATS CATCHING FISH Oil on canvas. 72 x 102 cm. Unframed. Based on the clothing of the fishermen and the crew of the two sailing boats, this painting probably depicts an early medieval or ancient scene in which large fish caught with harpoons are being brought into the boat. A family on the deck next to a steaming cauldron. In the background, ruined architecture at the foot of huge rock arches and a medieval defense tower on the rocky outcrop. (13506713) (10)
