THE YOUNG FISHERMAN Oil on canvas. Doubled. 118 x 82 cm. Signed "T. Lobrichon" and dated "1835" lower right. In Louis XV style frame. In the middle of a bank, a boy girded with a red cloth sits on an edged boulder, pausing in his activity as an angler. Lobrichon was born on April 26, 1831 in Cornod (Jura). He was a pupil of Picot and was awarded medals in 1868 and 1882. In 1883 he was made a member of the Legion of Honor.(1391161) (13)
