ELEGANT SOCIETY IN A PARK LANDSCAPE Oil on canvas. Doubled. 44 x 55 cm. In decorative frame. In the middle of a park, of which a stone wall can be seen on the right-hand edge and a fountain with a small fountain and a water-spouting fish or dolphin on the left, a table laid in white with dishes, glasses and a bottle of wine. Around it, partly seated, are ladies in long gowns, occasionally with fans, and elegant cavaliers in the Baroque fashion, mostly in conversation. A picnic basket with bottles of wine is also standing on the ground at the bottom right. Depiction reminiscent of works by Nicolas Lancret (1690-1743). (1400859) (18)
