Cathleen S. Mann, 1896 – 1959
LADIES' PICTURE Oil on canvas. 75 x 64 cm. Signed and dated "1941". The English painter was the daughter of the portraitist Harrington Mann (1864-1937) and a member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters and Portrait Painters. She was a pupil of Ethel Walker, wife of Francis Douglas, 11th Marquess of Queensberry. She also worked as a designer for films. Works exhibited in major international museums, including the Victoria and Albert Museum, Musée du Luxembourg and Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts. (14010219) (11)
