VENEDIGVEDUTE Oil on canvas. 51 x 81 cm. Signed and dated "C. Kaufmann 1891" lower right. In bronzed frame decorated in relief. Buildings elegantly reflected in the evening light with the campanile rising into the sky behind them and the dome of Santa Maria della Salute behind it. Remainder. The painter was a student at the Vienna Academy and frequently traveled to northern Europe as well as Italy, where many of his works were created.(1400404) (13)
