PORTRAIT OF A YOUNG MAN Oil on canvas. 48 x 35.5 cm. Half-length portrait of a young man with a wide-open white shirt, over which a reddish cloak with a fur collar can be seen. He has tilted his head slightly to one side and is looking out of the picture with his brown eyes and a slight smile. Annotation: The sitter could be the painter Gottfried Donauer or Danhauer or Tannauer, who bears similarities to a portrait painted in the 1690s by Jan Kupecky (1667-1740) showing Donauer with a violin.
