Maler der zweiten Hälfte des 18. Jahrhunderts PORTRAIT OF AN ELEGANT GENTLEMAN Oil on canvas. Doubled. 72.5 x 58.5 cm. Signed and dated "J Faber. pinxit 1786" upper right. In gilt frame. Against a brown background a half-length portrait of a young man standing to the left in a white shirt with lace, over a green vest embroidered with a floral pattern and finally a brown jacket. He holds an open book in his right hand, wears a gray allonge wig and looks out of the picture at the viewer with his shining eyes. (1401464) (18)
