THE WATERMILL Oil on wood. Parquetry. 73 x 109 cm. In ebonized wooden frame. A differentiated depiction of trees along a watercourse meandering discreetly into the depths, with a low building covered with red tiles next to it, a wheel facing the viewer, identifying the house as a watermill. A similar painting, also attributed to van Hees, is registered at the RKD in The Hague under number 242475. (14022310) (1) (13)
